Allowed watering times are before 9AM and after 7PM. Summer watering days remain in effect through October 31. More Information >> Community Events Art of Design: Home & Garden Tour This spring, treat yourself to a rare glimpse behind the doors and fences of five distinctive Turlock residences. Building on the popularity of the 2018 Designer Show House and the 2019 Art of Design Home & Garden Tour the Carnegie Arts Center is once again highlighting architecture, interior and landscape design in a fundraising event that brings these exciting art forms together. The 2020 Art of Design: Home & Garden Tour includes self-guided tours of five uniquely designed homes – inside and out. From a craftsman cottage to a mid-century ranch, from an artist’s retreat to a down-sizer’s dream, all five homes, located within just 1.5 miles of each other, will be open for public tours 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 9. Guests will explore some of Turlock’s most-beloved neighborhoods, experience five unique design aesthetics and find something interesting around every corner. The $30 ticket price ($25 for Carnegie members) supports the city's nonprofit Carnegie Arts Center. It marks the third year that the Carnegie has worked with local homeowners and design professionals to feature The Art of Design. A special evening fundraiser, the Twilight Tour, is scheduled for Friday, May 8th, 6-10 pm at a sixth location, one of Turlock’s classic 1940s homes. Event attendees will have an exclusive look at this elegant home and will enjoy live music, delicious farm-to-garden delicacies, regional wine and beer. Tickets to the Twilight Tour are $75 ($60 for Carnegie members) and include admission to all five homes on the Saturday tour as well.
